Town Hall Meeting / Protect Public Education Community Forum
Sound Bite at Warehouse on Broadway
Event Speakers TBA
6:30pm – 8:30pm. Restaurant opens at 5pm. All Ages.
Public education in Kansas City is under attack. Anti-education forces at the federal and state level are slashing funding for our childrens’ education to the bone. To fight back, we need strong, consistent local funding for our schools — not tax breaks for wealthy developers.
If we’re going to ensure a good education for kids and fair wages for teachers, the time has come for Kansas City to end unnecessary and outrageous taxpayer handouts for development projects. Join us at Protect Public Education town hall on Tuesday, April 14 at 6pm to hear from teachers, school administrators and parents about the harm tax incentives inflict on our public schools, and how the city can take action against outrageous tax incentives to support public education.
Whether you are a parent, student or you simply want to learn more about how tax breaks for developers impact our city, register now!
